Within Comms and Employability this week I finished M2, P6 and D1 Tasks for Assignment 2. For this assignment i did sturggle with the understanding of evaluating my own interpersonal skills however after discussing thsi through with Karen and Tracey it became much more clearer. As i seem to learn better by discussing more in depth to what the task are about this therefore helped me to understand what to do to complete the distiction task.
Within Digital Graphic this week I completed my poster design and also my business card design. I had made my own logo for the business and added this on these. Just getting on with my won work did suit me better however I am not the most creative person therefore once I had arranged my poster i didnt know what else to add to this to make it stand out and look more creative. For the next task on this assignment it is to let the creative director look at my poster and business card to modify them, this is where I may get some more insperation from to improve.
Within Organisational system security this week I started assignment 3, I started to complete task P4 and this is still in process. However this did cause problems as we was given a website to go on read about and this would give us all the information that we needed, but the techinally terms that are used on the website does not make the whole information easy for me to understand. To resolve this I spoke to helen and she will be preparing a worksheet with the information on to make it eaiser to understand so that i can complete the task with no more problems.

In Comms and Employability today we created a powerpoint presentation about what are blogs, vlogs and podcasts, this will then come in some help when completing assignment 2 which we was also given today. I then started the merit task for assignment 2 which was to proof read a piece of text, then give comments on it and finally amend the work.

Within Comms and Employability this week I have now completed my first assignment, within this assignment I had discussed personal attributes that would be valued by an employer. I also discussed principles of effective communication, their potential barriers and how to reduce the impact of these. Within this week we just got on with the assignment so that it could be finished in time to reach the deadline.
In Digital Graphics this week I also completed my first assignment, within this assignment I discussed hardware and software that help to edit graphic images. i also spoke about file formats that can be used, I also completed the merit task which was to compare limitations of hardware and software. I did attempt to complete the distinction task which was to evaluate the impact of output mediums this I did not fully understand however it was attempted and then given in to wait for redo. We also started to use Adobe photoshop and starting getting used to the basic skills.
Within Organisational systems security we all discussed the encryption technique and researched about this, this was then to be put into out powerpoint presentation to complete that task. This lesson was both discussing and then just getting on with the task which did suit me.

In Comms and Employability today we discussed benefits in communicationThe first lesson we discussed attidudes and how they were different to attributes. We discussed the potential barriers between a technician and a customer over the phone and also face to face. We watched a 10 minute clip of Doc Martin, which showed us some barriers within this, such as; phones ringing, children shouting etc.This lesson was first of all us listening to Karen, which helped me to understand concepts of things. Then we completed a task on what we had discussed, therefore this appeals to my learning style as i have spoke about to understand and then complete a task so i can remember it. I was also issued with the first assignment.

In Comms & Employablilty lesson we learnt about attributes.
Attributes; ones that are required but also ones that are personal to you that you think can help to improve the company. I also had to choose a job role involving ICT, and then expand and explain their attributes needed. The only problem with this was i only had tome to complete the one jope which was technical support. Karen taught this lesson and within this i thought i learnt well as she spoke about attributes and explained them.
Within Digital graphics this week we was given assignment breif and what we need to do to complete it. i also experiemented using Adobe Illustrator, after this i now know how to use stamp pictures and the paint tool whilst changing the colour. the following lesson i then tried to trace a basic shape however this would be something i could improve on. i then had a go at using the shape tool, and pen tool to draw different images.

In Comms and Employability lesson I have completed a learning styles questionnaire online which I then found out that my learning style was visual. However when I completed a different learning styles questionnaire with fewer questions I found that my learning style was Auditory. But for both of the questionnaires I have found that the learning style that I struggle with both said I am weaker with the Kinesthetic therefore this would be able problem that I would be able to try to overcome.
Within my organisational system security lesson, we discussed and then researched individually internal and external threats to an organisation. in this lesson i did have a few problems as i could not find out the meaning of piggybacking. To help me address this we will be discussing each threat further in our next lesson. within this lesson i firstly learned through the lector talking about the invidual threats.
My other lesson is digital graphics, within this lesson we was introduced to what we shall be doing.
